Welcome to my studio!  


Product and Services

Morel Music offers personalized piano instruction in three lesson lengths to meet the needs of students at various skill levels:

  • 30-Minute Lesson Package, 19 week semester, at the price of $950.

  • 45-Minute Lesson Package, 19 week semester, at the price of $1425.

  • 60-Minute Lesson Package, 19 week semester, at the price of $1900.

All prices are subject to change with prior notice.


Lesson Packages:

Lessons are provided for students ages 4 and up. An adult with proper legal authority must agree to these policies before lessons can be provided. Lessons and services are non-transferable and intended solely for the enrolled student. Unauthorized use of lesson time by others is prohibited.

Semester Schedule

A semester of lessons (listed above) includes:

  • A weekly time slot for piano lessons exclusively reserved for the student.

  • Communication with the instructor for scheduling the lessons, lessons notes/student progress, and any other related communication for the fulfillment of the lesson.

  • Optional Semesterly Recital: A recital or piano concert may be offered during or after the semester at the sole discretion of the instructor. Participation is not guaranteed and is not included in the lesson package price.

  • Piano lessons are offered on a 19-week basis for Spring and Fall semesters and an 8-week Summer semester. The dates and schedule are available here.

Payment Options

  • Lesson packages are always paid in advance. There are only two payment options for Lesson packages of 19 weeks:

    • One-Time Payment: Pay for the entire semester upfront.

    • Three Monthly Payments: Total tuition cost divided into 3 equal payments billed every four weeks for three consecutive months.

  • Enrollment: Only 1 student per semester enrollment (two siblings who are enrolled for thirty minutes are enrolled separately and not considered an hour enrollment and so forth).

  • Payment Methods: Payments methods include ACH, credit or debit card, check, or through Venmo. Payments through Morel Music’s payment processor Stripe are preferred.

  • All payments must be initiated by the customer through approved channels. The instructor will not manually process payments to ensure the security of personal financial information.

  • Late Payments: A late payment is any payment not received by the scheduled due date. Late payments may result in suspension of lessons until the balance is paid in full.

Discount Policy Updates

  • Spring Semester 2025: Families who have been with me more than one year and have multi-enrollments will retain their $50 discount per enrollment for Spring Semester 2025.

  • Summer Semester 2025: All discounts will be discontinued at the end of Spring Semester 2025, to reflect a consultant-based model focused on specialized instruction.

Changing a Student’s Time Slot

If a student would like to change their current lesson time, please contact me at least 24 hours in advance of the desired new lesson time. There is no extra charge for changes made more than 24 hours ahead, and I will accommodate these requests based on my availability.

Time slot changes are not guaranteed and depend on availability. Any missed lessons due to a lack of notice (less than 24 hours) will not be rescheduled or refunded. Missed lessons are the responsibility of the student or parent.

Make-Up Policy

  • Missed Lessons, Student Absences / Cancellations

    • Each student is allowed one redeemable make-up lesson per semester, provided that notification is given at least 24 hours in advance.

    • The following are not eligible for make-ups:

      • Snow days (lessons will shift to Zoom).

      • Personal scheduling conflicts.

      • Vacations outside regular school breaks listed on the Morel Music calendar.

      • Minor illnesses (lessons will shift to Zoom).

      • Electing to miss a lesson or feeling tired.

    • Any additional missed lessons beyond the one allowed make-up are not eligible for rescheduling or refunds.

    • Redeemable make-ups must be scheduled during regular business hours and redeemed during the same semester. Never other semesters.

    • No-shows (lessons missed without notice) are not eligible for make-ups or refunds.

  • Instructor Cancellations:

    • Any lesson canceled by the instructor will result in a credit or a make-up lesson at no cost to the student.

    • Make-up lessons for instructor cancellations will be scheduled based on mutual availability and must be redeemed within the current semester.

Withdrawal and Refunds

  • To withdraw from lessons, you must notify me via email at least 30 days in advance.

  • Only lessons scheduled after the 30-day notice period will be eligible for a refund.

  • Refunds for unused lessons will be issued to the original payment method and may take 2-3 weeks to process.

  • Non-attendance or non-payment does not constitute withdrawal. Your time slot will remain reserved unless formal withdrawal notice is provided.

Pausing Lessons

  • If you wish to pause your lessons, please notify me as soon as possible.

    • To retain your current time slot during the pause, payment must continue as scheduled. No refunds will be provided while your time slot is reserved.

    • Please Note: If you withdraw instead of pausing, your time slot may not be available upon return. Carefully consider whether pausing or withdrawing best meets your needs.


Late Payment

Should a student/family have an outstanding balance of two or more lessons, lessons will be paused until payment is made.  Once the outstanding balance is paid we will resume lessons.  Should you have any issues with payment or paying on time please contact me.

Failure to pay for an extended period of time will result in the termination of lessons. 


Liability and Safety

• Parents are responsible for the safety and supervision of their children at all times while on studio premises.
• The studio is not responsible for injuries, accidents, or loss of personal belongings.

In-Person Lesson Parent or Guardian Attendance

  • A parent, guardian, or other approved adult is required to accompany for all students under the age of 18. This ensures a safe and productive educational environment.

  • Additional family members may attend, provided they are not a distraction.

  • Please Note: I do not provide childcare services and am not licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care or any other agency.

  • All in-person students must register for a specific day and time and leave the premises immediately after their lesson.

  • In-person lessons are only offered at the studio location

Liability and Safety

  • Parents are responsible for the safety and supervision of their children at all times while on studio premises.

  • The studio is not responsible for injuries, accidents, or loss of personal belongings.while on school grounds. The studio is not responsible for the loss of personal items.

Photo / Video Policy

  • Professional photography or videography may occur during lessons for promotional purposes.

  • Families will be notified in advance and may opt out of participation.

Student Code of Conduct

  • Students and accompanying family members are expected to behave respectfully and refrain from disruptive behavior during lessons.

  • Use of inappropriate language, disrespect toward the instructor or others, or failure to follow studio policies may result in termination of lessons without a refund.

Technology Policy

  • Students are responsible for ensuring their device, internet connection, and equipment are functioning properly before the start of a remote lesson.

  • Lessons missed due to technical difficulties on the student’s end will not be rescheduled or refunded.

  • If technical issues arise on the instructor’s end, the missed time will be made up or credited at no cost to the student.

Termination of Lessons by Instructor

  • The instructor reserves the right to terminate lessons at any time for reasons including, but not limited to:

    • Inappropriate behavior by the student or accompanying family members.

    • Repeated failure to comply with studio policies.

    • Non-payment or consistent late payment.

      • In such cases, any unused lesson fees will be refunded, minus any non-refundable deposits, outstanding balances or the month of

Additional Legal Protections

Indemnification Clause:
By enrolling in lessons, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Morel Music, its instructors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from participation in lessons or activities, including in-person or remote sessions.

Force Majeure Clause:
Morel Music is not liable for failure to provide services due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, power outages, or internet disruptions.

Modification of Policies:
I reserve the right to modify these policies at any time. Changes will be communicated to enrolled families, and continued participation constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
